Nottingham scheme will be contractor’s second job for Vita Group in the Midlands
Morgan Sindall has been appointed to build a £24m student accommodation project in Nottingham for specialist developer Vita Group.
The contractor is joined on the job by engineer BWB Consulting and M&E firm Drayton Beaumont.
The building is designed by Fuse Studios and will contain 319 apartments in tiered towers of six, eight and 10 storeys.
Some 6,000ft2 out of a total 100,000ft2 will be used as a communal hub for socialising, while the build will also have a coffee bar, study rooms and private lounges.
The contractor has already won a student housing job with the developer in Birmingham and another in Southampton (pictured).
Work on the Nottingham job is expected to complete in time for the new academic year in 2020, with the flats being built on Station Street near the city’s centre.
