Contract for Yorkshire Water in joint venture with consultant Grontmij

Contractor Morgan Sindall and Dutch consultant Grontmij have won a 拢28m contract with Yorkshire Water to design and build a facility to turn household waste into biogas.

Morgan Sindall will receive a 拢25m share of the contract, which it said is designed to save millions of pounds in electricity consumption and expenditure.

The biogas created will be burned to produce electricity, and located at the 750-acre Esholt Waste Water Treatment Works.
