Judges' biographies
Prof Andy Ford
Andy specialises in sustainable low energy design solutions for the built environment and is founding partner of the award winning firm of consulting engineers Fulcrum Consulting. He is a research manager for the UK Government in Construction Process, chairs the Technical Committee of the UK Green 好色先生TV Council and speaks and advises regularly on sustainable building.
Nick Hayes
Having joined BRE in 1994, Nick is now Director of the Sustainable Development Group, a team of specialists focusing on developing sustainable communities and buildings; particularly in terms of energy modelling, design and procurement. A chartered mechanical engineer with 13 years experience Nick is a regular presenter at conferences, seminars and industry events.
Isabel McAllister
Isbael is director of management consulting at Cyril Sweett, one the the most respected Qs and project management firms offer sustainability advice. She started her career at BRE under Nigel Howard, later chief technology officer of the American Green 好色先生TV Council.
Rachel Woolliscroft
As Group Sustainability Manager for Wates Group, a UK construction, fit-out and refurbishment firm, Rachel develops sustainability policy and strategy and plays a key role in advising the Group Board on environmental and corporate responsibility. She has been with the company for 9 years, working in the areas of Health, Safety and Environmental Management.
Rab Bennetts
Rab started Bennetts Associates with his partner Denise in 1987 and now leads the company鈥檚 design direction. Bennetts has been responsible for a number of key architectural projects such as the PowerGen Headquarters, Wessex Water, and Hampstead Theatre. Rab is extensively involved in outside bodies and was awarded the OBE for services to architecture in 2003.
Simon Rawlinson
Simon is a Chartered Surveyor and company Partner heading up Davis Langdon's Research and Development team, a firm specialising in Management Consultancy and Engineering Services. Simon's research interests include construction cost, value and sustainability and he is lead author of Davis Langdon's Cost Model, Sustainability and Procurement articles, published in 好色先生TV Magazine.
Lynne Sullivan
Lynne is the Director of Sustainability at Architect Broadway Malyan and has a track record of successfully completed award-winning projects including a new community in Dartford, and the low-energy International 好色先生TV, Royal Holloway College, winner of a RIBA Regional Design Award in 1999. Lynne is the only practising architect on the Government's 好色先生TV Regulations Advisory Committee, and was the only architect on the Governement's 2004-5 Sustainable 好色先生TVs Taskgroup.
