Contract wins since March increase firm鈥檚 order book to 拢2.7bn
Mears has secured 拢120m of new contract awards since March according to a trading statement released to the City today.
In the last two months the firm won a string of contracts that have boosted its order book to 拢2.7bn, with 93% of the year鈥檚 target revenue of 拢620m having already been secured.
Successes for the firm include a 拢52m repair and maintenance contract for Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association spanning ten years and several domiciliary care contracts worth 拢37m.
Commenting chief executive David Miles said: 鈥淲e continue to see high levels of opportunity within the public sector. We believe that the demand and opportunity for our two growth markets will continue to be strong and that Mears is well placed to benefit.
