Contractor secures position in the Midlands with repairs and refurb contract

Mears Group has won a 拢65m contract with Birmingham City Council to provide repairs and refurbishment in the northern area of the city.

It said the deal, together with its recent 10-year 拢50m contract with Midland Heart Housing, gives it a strong footprint in the Midlands, where it expects to win further work.

The contract will involve 300 staff being transferred and will last for four and a half years with an option to extend to seven.
