The scheme includes 168 homes
McLaren Construction has been chosen as the delivery partner for the £120m redevelopment of the former Amex House in Brighton.
Mixed-use developer First Base and Patron Capital have appointed the firm as principal contractor for Edward Street Quarter, which will deliver 170,000 ft2 of Grade A offices, alongside space for coffee shops and restaurants.
The project will also include 168 new homes, comprising a mix of private and affordable units.
Demolition of Amex House is complete, with construction set to start next May. The project will employ over 1,000 people on site over the duration of the development and support up to 2,000 jobs when complete.
The scheme, designed by Buckley Gray Yeoman, includes three new public spaces by landscape practice Spacehub. It was given planning in July.
