The firm, which was invited to do the work by the Ministry of Culture, worked with archaeologists from University College London and engineers from Arup on the project. Work is expected to start on site in the next year.
McAslan has also designed a multicultural centre for Al Akhawayn University in the city of Ifrane, the largest English-speaking university in North Africa.
The firm is due to complete the centre in the early part of next year, with construction commencing 2004 and completion in 2006.
