Contractor behind BTR scheme in city
Sir Robert McAlpine has won a 245-unit Build to Rent scheme in Leeds.
The contractor, whose parent this week revealed its latest annual results, is already working on the 拢350m South Bank regeneration scheme in the Holbeck area of the city.
Now developers Richardson and Ask Real Estate have appointed the firm to the Tower Works scheme (pictured) on Globe Road, close to the railway station.
Designed by Ryder Architecture, the wider project team includes engineer WSP and Faithful + Gould as both QS and project manager.
McAlpine is also working on another city centre site, turning the grade II-listed Majestic building into the new national headquarters for broadcaster Channel 4.
