A mixed-use scheme set to be built in the heart of Theresa May鈥檚 parliamentary constituency is heading the way of Northern Irish contractor McAleer & Rushe, 好色先生TV understands.

The firm, which is working on a 拢37m deal to build 100 apartments at the Canalside Walk scheme (pictured) at Paddington Basin in west London, has signed a pre-construction services agreement for the 拢250m Maidenhead project called the Landing.

The job is being developed by Hub and backed by Norwegian investment group Smedvig. McAleer & Rushe鈥檚 contract is believed to be worth around 拢100m.

Designed by Studio Egret West, the project features six blocks, ranging in height from seven to 16 storeys, containing 424 homes, plus retail, office and public space.

Other firms working on the project include design group AKT II, consultant Skelly & Couch and engineer Buro Happold.

The heights of the tallest blocks have been scaled back after local groups said they were too tall to be built in the Berkshire town.
