Borough market in south London has won the Great Place prize for the UK’s best public space, which has been awarded by the Academy of Urbanism.
The market, which was refurbished by Greig + Stephenson Architects, beat Brindleyplace in Birmingham and St Stephen’s Green in Dublin in a public vote. The refurbishment has centred on the addition of the Floral Hall
