High street retailer Marks and Spencer has been fined 拢1m for exposing the public, staff and constructionworkers to asbestos.

Contractors Styles and Wood and Willmott Dixon were also hit with fines of 拢100,000 and 拢50,000 respectively.

Asbestos specialist PA Realisations (formerly Pectel Ltd) is now in administration and was fined a token 拢200.
