Capital & Centric and Henry Boot get planning green light
A 拢200m mixed-use scheme by joint developers Capital & Centric and Henry Boot in Manchester city centre has won planning approval.
The canal-side 鈥楰ampus鈥 scheme, designed by architects Mecanoo and Shedkm, will cover 2.3 acres, centred around a wild botanical garden at Aytoun Street.
Phase one will include almost 500 private rented flats across two 12-16 storey buildings, while phase two will involved the conversion of two listed mill buildings.
Adam Higgins of Capital & Centric said: 鈥淲e have worked closely with Manchester city council and importantly, the local community to create this exciting scheme, which will rejuvenate this area of our city that has been neglected for too long.
鈥淭he 鈥榮ecret garden鈥 concept is pivotal to our vision to create a vibrant new bohemian destination for the city.鈥
