A man has been killed after a wall collapsed on a building site in east London yesterday.
The man was thought to be a construction worker and in his 30s, according to the police.
The accident happened on a job to convert the Anchor and Hope pub on Westferry Road in the Docklands area of London into flats.
A Metropolitan police spokesperson said: “We were called at 9am on Wednesday morning to reports of a man injured at a construction site on Westferry Road.
“We attended along with London Ambulance and Air Ambulance services. The man, thought to be in his 30s, died at 9:21am.
“We understand the man had been working on the site and died from injuries sustained after a wall collapsed on him.
He said the Health and Safety Executive had been informed of the incident.
