Broadgate development by British Land and Blackstone include four City trading floors for UBS
British Land and Blackstone have submitted a planning application for a major new Broadgate office development designed by Make Architects.
Financial services giant UBS will move into 5 Broadgate, which will include four trading floors and a new square.
The 65,000m2 building in London replaces 3, 4 and 6 Broadgate and will include low carbon features such as photovoltaics, solar panels and rainwater harvesting.
Chris Grigg, chief executive of The British Land Company, said: 鈥淚t is a sign of huge confidence in London鈥檚 status as a world financial centre that UBS has committed to building a new world class office building in the heart of the City. 鈥
Ken Shuttleworth, of Make, said: 鈥淥ur bold design was conceived from the idea of a perfectly cast 鈥檈ngine of finance鈥, and responds to the strength and spirit of Broadgate. We believe it sets a new standard for the future generation of truly adaptable buildings.鈥
