Mandy Willis also becomes first female to join the firm’s board
Mace’s international chief operating officer Marcus Burley is stepping down from the company at the end of the year.
Burley (pictured) joined the firm in 1998 and has been in his position since 2010. He led a number of overseas projects, including Jumeirah Beach Residence, the Mall of Emirates and the early phase of Dubai Expo 2020.
Throughout this year, Burley’s international responsibilities have been shared with Mace chief operating officer for consultancy Jason Millett, who will now take over leading operations in sub-saharan Africa, Asia and Middle East and North Africa.
Mandy Willis will also join the Mace board on 1 January as group director of corporate strategy.
Willis was previously an external advisor to the firm and since joining full-time three years ago has assisted its group finance strategy. She will advise on joint ventures and acquisitions, funding, financing, tax and corporate structuring.
