Work for developer MBU Capital due to finish in 2020
A £48m residential development in Luton has been given the planning OK.
London-based investor MBU Capital is behind the scheme which will include 133 one-bed apartments along with 50 two-beds spread across three blocks rising from five to 12 storeys.
Designed by GTA, the scheme will include communal roof gardens.
A contractor has yet to be appointed but work is set to start next month and due to be completed by autumn 2020.
MBU is eyeing a number of sites in a string of towns that ring London under its ‘commuter strategy’ initiative which targets developments within commuting distance of the capital.
It has already ploughed £50m into a scheme in nearby Stevenage called Park Place, a 200 home project being built by Ashe Construction.
