Taylor Woodrow expects to reach agreement with planners over the 拢500m mixed-use redevelopment of the Lots Road power station site in south-west London by May.
The scheme, designed by Terry Farrell & Partners, has been twice rejected by the councils that have jurisdiction over the site 鈥� Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham 鈥� because of its low level of social housing and impact on local traffic.

Taywood chief executive Iain Napier said Circadian, the joint-venture team comprising Taywood and developer Hutchison Whampoa, was working with the councils to resolve the issues.

He said: "Negotiations are progressing well and I have a reasonable level of confidence that we will resolve the situation by the end of April or in May next year."

Napier added that the project has the support of English Heritage and London mayor Ken Livingstone.

The riverside scheme covers 3.6 ha, providing almost 500 private homes and 9755 m2 of commercial space.
