Call for Londoners to participate in examining change and design in the UK capital this summer
The London Festival of Architecture (LFA) will return this summer, and all Londoners are invited to join in with this city-wide celebration of architecture.
The festival this time will focus on preparations for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, looking at ways that planners, architects and local communities play their part in the development of 鈥渢he Welcoming City鈥.
Held between 19 June and 4 July 2010, the LFA will feature events across a range of other architectural issues, including a tour of the BBC Broadcasting House building, a guided walk/cycle through the Bankside Urban Forest, and the chance to watch Will Alsop's view of London come to life in hotel windows.
A plethora of other events are already planned, and ideas for other projects are welcomed. All Londoners are invited to participate in developing projects to examine change in the capital, investigating ways to make London a better place to live, work and play.
