Work has been split into four lots
A host of regional contractors have been appointed to a 拢120m framework to carry out building and civils work across Cumbria and the Lake District.
Firms that have made it on to the list include Preston contractor Eric Wright, Blackpool firm F Parkinson and Carlisle-based Story Contracting.
Other firms on the 23-strong list include Jacobs-owned Jacobs Field Services, Morris and Spottiswood and Mott MacDonald-owned JN Bentley.
The framework will run for four years and will be used by Cumbria county council, as well as six other councils in the region including Carlisle city council and Barrow borough council.
Others with access to the framework include the Lake District National Park, headquartered in Kendal, and Cumbria university.
The value of work will range from 拢50,000 through to 拢5m though firms may be asked to carry out work above and below these two figures.
Work has been divided into four lots with two packages for building and the remaining tow for civils jobs.
Work up for grabs includes projects for schools, care homes, offices and fire stations as well as highway maintenance and improvement schemes.
