Developer applies for planning permission for second phase of town centre development
Land Securities has applied for planning permission for the second phase of development in Corby town centre.
The mixed use plans for Evolution Corby designed by Chapman Taylor Architects include retail units, apartments and community facilities. Land Sec also proposes two new car parks to support the scheme.
The development will sit alongside the recently completed Willow Place shopping scheme.
Mark Rymell, development manager at Land Securities, said: "Our plans for Evolution Corby will continue our long-term commitment to Corby's ongoing regeneration."
If planning approval is granted work could start on the scheme in 2010 with completion in 2012.
