Projects include jobs in Victoria and the City
Developer Land Securities said it will start three major London developments in 2011, as well as continuing work on the Rafael Vinoly-designed Walkie Talkie.
In half year financial results, the mixed-use developer said that it had submitted a planning application to redevelop Ashdown House, 21,370sq m of its estate in Victoria. The office building, which sits opposite Land Secs’ Cardinal Place development and around Westminster Cathedral, housing a number of government departments, will be redeveloped for completion in late 2012.
In addition Land Secs is to refurbish the 7,010 sq m 110 Canon Street building after existing tenant K&L moves out to relocate into Land Secs’ One New Change development. It will be complete in mid 2012. Land will submit a further planning application for a single 28,000 sq m building on the site of 30 Ludgate Hill and 60 Old Bailey, with construction scheduled to start after August 2011 for completion by early 2014.
The firm declined to put a value on the developments
