The role for Bristol Water is the latest win in a string of appointments for the contractor in the utilities sector
Kier has been appointed as the sole provider to Bristol Water鈥檚 拢200m maintenance services framework.
The job will see the contractor provide repairs and maintenance, metering, new connections, developer mains, trunk mains support and small diameter mains rehabilitation for up to ten years.
The contract will start on 1 October.
Since the start of May Kier has won several contracts in the utilities sector including a five year 拢90m contract, with a potential ten year extension, for Anglian Water鈥檚 Integrated Maintenance and Repair contract.
In June, the firm also won a 拢24m role on Sembcorp Bournemouth Water on its planned and reactive maintenance programme.
Haydn Mursell, chief executive of Kier, said the wins showed the value the firm鈥檚 acquisition of May Gurney 鈥渉as brought to the group and further consolidates our utilities capability and strength鈥.
