Work on Braintree scheme to start next year
Kier has been appointed to revamp the centre of a town in Essex.
The firm will carry out work on the £30m Manor Street regeneration scheme in Braintree which will involve building 35 new homes, a bus interchange and 70-bed Travelodge.
The job for Braintree district council is due to start early next year and complete in 2022.
It will also include a health hub and pharmacy as well as a car park and café and restaurant.
It was given the green light in the spring and has been on the blocks since 2011.
The development has been drawn up by AHR Architects.
