Two-school project will start on site in April 2010

Kier has scooped a 拢51m deal to build two schools in Bolton.

The contractor鈥檚 education arm has been named preferred bidder by Bolton council for the Essa Academy and Bolton St Catherine鈥檚 Academy & Firwood School schemes.

The project will see both education estates completely rebuilt and construction is due to start in April 2010.

Ebrahim Adia, executive member for children鈥檚 services at Bolton council, said: 鈥淭he plans put forward by Kier were really impressive, and will create an excellent learning environment for the academies鈥� pupils.鈥欌��
