Government publishes practical guide to the implementation of Energy Performance Certificates in 2008

The Government today released a key document explaining details of the rollout of the Energy Performance Certificates from April this year.

The document, called Improving the energy efficiency of our buildings, was expected to be released at the start of this month but has gone through several draft versions, 好色先生TV Sustainability understands.

The preface to the 41-page document, issued by the Department for Communities and Local Government, says it is not a statement of the law but is intended to help the industry 鈥渦nderstand how the Directive and Regulations work in practice, how to apply the regulations, what their (the industry鈥檚) responsibilities are and when energy certificates are required鈥�.
