Construction鈥檚 richest man is Bloor Homes founder John Bloor with estimated 拢1.8bn fortune
Keltbray owner Brendan Kerr is a new entry to this year鈥檚 Sunday Times Rich List with an estimated fortune of 拢132m.
The annual ranking of the UK鈥檚 1,000 wealthiest people puts Kerr, who joined the firm back in 1989 as a project manager, and his family at 878th place.
Kerr (pictured) became managing director of the business in 1999 before taking up the chief executive鈥檚 role four years later. In its latest results, the specialist contractor said turnover was up 13% to 拢417.5m in the year to October 2017 with pre-tax profit flat at 拢23.3m.
Others to make this year鈥檚 list included Laing O鈥橰ourke chairman Ray O鈥橰ourke with an estimated fortune of 拢306m, James Wates and family with an estimated worth of 拢265m and Foster + Partners founder Norman Foster with a fortune of 拢170m.
Redrow founder Steve Morgan, a critic of Persimmon鈥檚 bonus scheme, saw his fortune tick up 拢111m last year to 拢942m but he is some way behind construction鈥檚 richest man, Bloor Homes founder John Bloor, who also owns Triumph motorcycles, who has an estimated fortune of 拢1.85bn.
