These men from Mauritius are no different to workers all over the world who put their lives in danger in order to earn a wage

Clearly concerned about the market forces that drive workers on the island and elsewhere to take risks, he says:

"Unfortunately this is normal construction practice in Mauritius (located south-east of Madagascar/south of Seychelles in Indian Ocean).

"if these guys won't undertake the works due to health and safety implications, someone else will. It all comes down to feeding their families by putting their lives at risk."
