Sheffield deal is firm’s second for specialist developer this year
ISG has been chosen for a £46m student accommodation project in Sheffield.
The 864-unit project is being developed by student accommodation specialist Fusion Students.
The scheme’s four tower blocks will range in height from six to 17 storeys and be finished in summer 2021. Corstorphine + Wright is architect on the job.
The win continues a strong 12 months for ISG, which earlier this week won its biggest UK construction job of the year with an £89m deal to build a new transport hub in Cardiff.
The Sheffield job is the contractor’s second win for Fusion this year having previously been picked to build a £39m, 17-storey tower in Swansea.
The firm has also completed a £40m student halls complex in Cardiff and a £26m mixed-use scheme in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, for the same developer.
