Contractor says experience of working on Olympic schemes such as the Velodrome will help it deliver
SG has pointed to its London 2012 Olympics experience after beating off competition from Kier, Leadbitter and Ardmore to secure a 拢61m contract from Center Parks.
The firm will build the 625-lodge accommodation element of the new Center Parcs holiday village near Woburn in Bedfordshire using off-site manufactured timber frames.
ISG has already worked for Blackstone, owner of the Center Parcs business, on its Nido student accommodation brand, delivering Nido schemes at Notting Hill and Spitalfields in London.
Bowmer & Kirkland has already won the main 拢90m leisure facilities contract for the development while roads and technical infrastructure are being delivered by Balfour Beatty subsidiary Birse Civils under a 拢26m contract.
ISG鈥檚 UK construction managing director, Craig Tatton, said the firm鈥檚 experience of working on the London 2012 Velodrome and on Olympics overlay schemes would help it deliver.

The work will begin in November and is expected to take 59 weeks with the two, three and four bed lodges boasting structural insulated timber wall panels and traditional tiled roofs.
Center Parcs Woburn Forest, the operator鈥檚 fifth UK village, is planned on a 365 acre site and is scheduled to open to guests in spring 2014.
