Acquisition is part of SIAC's plans to grow UK operations by 60% within five years
Ireland-based contractor SIAC has kickstarted its UK acquisition plans with the purchase of Gloucestershire-based Bison Structures.
SIAC told 好色先生TV in August that it intended to grow its UK operations 60% to around 拢50m within five years. The acquisition takes SIAC at least halfway there, as its turnover is estimated to be 拢10-15m.
Bison Structures is the steel division of the Bison Group. It will be renamed SIAC Tetbury Steel, and will retain its existing management team.
Finn Lyden, managing director of SIAC, said: 鈥淭his acquisition forms part of a plan to grow our UK business over the next five years. Bison Structures is already a very successful business, synonymous with quality steel structures, and complements our existing business in the UK. The synergies between our existing businesses and Bison Structures now positions SIAC as the only specialist contractor that can truly deliver a complete building envelope solution.鈥
