Work at Wednesbury scheme to start next summer
Interserve has been named preferred bidder for an £8m job building an academy at Wednesbury in the West Midlands.
The latest win is Interserve’s eighth this year for a school build, with other contracts in Bristol, Leicestershire and Manchester worth a combined £49m.
High Point Academy will be a special educational needs school delivered under the Department for Education’s Free School Programme.
Around 90 students with learning difficulties, aged 11-16, will attend the school after it opens in September 2021. Interserve is due to start on site next June.
