Laing O'Rourke will also benefit from building and maintenance PFI deal
Interserve and John Laing have won a 拢310m contract to build and maintain a PFI defence complex at Corsham in Wiltshire.
The contract will see Interserve, John Laing and construction partner Laing O'Rourke construct and then manage a centre of communication for the Ministry of Defence, with live-in accommodation for up to 2,200 employees.
Construction will begin immediately and will continue until 2011. Both Interserve and John Laing will contribute 拢7m of investment to the UK project as part of a 50% equity/sub-debt stake.
Adrian Ringrose, chief executive of Interserve, said: 鈥淲orking with our consortium partners we shall create and manage a specialised environment that will allow the MoD to exploit fully its world-leading communications expertise.鈥
