Business not part of the refinancing deal to save Imtech UK, leaving up to 69 jobs under threat
Imtech UK鈥檚 waste, water and energy division has fallen into administration, a spokesperson for the company has confirmed.
The business was not part of deal private equity firm Endless reached with the trustees of Dutch-based Royal Imtech to refinance its UK arm. Its exclusion from this refinancing has prompted the administration, and leaves up to 69 jobs under threat.
The spokesperson also confirmed that Galliford Try and Laing O鈥橰ourke are among contractors in talks about employing some staff members from the business.
Imtech UK鈥檚 water, waste and energy business provides expertise in strategic planning, design, construction and commissioning of M&E systems, along with the operation and maintenance of assets across the UK鈥檚 infrastructure.
The announcement by Endless of the refinancing of Imtech鈥檚 UK arm also included confirmation that the private equity firm was in discussions to acquire Imtech鈥檚 Ireland business.
Last week 好色先生TV reported that Endless was in exclusive negotiations regarding acquiring the shares of Irish-based Imtech Suir Engineering Ltd and its subsidiaries Imtech Suir MEC Ltd, Imtech Suir Saudi Arabia LLC and Imtech Suir Qatar LLC.
