Engineer unveils 鈥渁ggressive鈥 expansion plans in the country
Hyder Consulting has unveiled 鈥渁ggressive鈥 expansion plans in Saudi Arabia, following last month鈥檚 acquisition of Saudi-based architectural and engineering firm SAK.
Hyder is launching a new Saudi-registered engineering design business, staffed with 40 former SAK employees.
The new business will be called Hyder & Solaiman Elkhereiji Engineering Consulting Company.
Hyder chief executive Ivor Catto said the launch would enable it to respond to the anticipated increase in infrastructure spend in the country.
Catto said: 鈥淭his affirms our commitment to the Saudi Arabian marketplace which is a priority for Hyder.鈥
Hyder said in a statement that it was implementing an 鈥渁ggressive鈥 growth strategy in Saudi Arabia and had doubled its staff numbers to meet demand.
The firm has worked on a number of high profile projects in the Middle East, including the world鈥檚 tallest tower the Burj Khalifa (pictured).
The new subsidiary will operate alongside Hyder鈥檚 existing Saudi-registered project management business Hyder Consulting Middle East Limited International.
