Students who paid up to 拢10k for home inspection training may lose money
A home inspection training provider has gone into administration leaving hundreds of students stranded.
Around 800 trainees were enrolled on training courses at Property Professionals, an energy assessing training body, when it was placed into administration last week.
Each student had paid between 拢5,000 and 拢10,000 to study with the company, many of whom had obtained bank loans to fund the costs of the course, administrator HJS Recovery said.
The company operated four training centres in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London. Staff wages and the rent on all four premises had not been paid. All 90 staff have been made redundant.
Administrator at HJS Recovery, Shane Biddlecombe said: 鈥淭his is a very difficult time for the trainees, who face not having the training they have paid for and also the prospect that they have lost their money.鈥
