PRP Architects鈥� Canada Court proposals next to Wembley Stadium

Pre-tax profit at housing architect PRP leapt by more than half last year as the practice reaped the benefit of work in the private rented sector.

The firm is working on Quintain鈥檚 huge scheme in the shadow of Wembley stadium in north-west London (pictured) with more than 11,000 homes eventually set to be built at the site.

Profit jumped 57% to 拢7.6m in the year to March 2017 while revenue was up 27% to 拢24.2m.

Virtually all of its work is from UK with just 拢41,000 of income coming from overseas, falling from last year鈥檚 拢526,000.

The firm has around 240 staff on its books and works out of offices in London, Surrey and Manchester with its wage bill increasing 拢1.4m to just over 拢9m.

PRP is one of five practices revamping three south London estates to provide nearly 3,000 homes for Clarion Housing under a 拢1bn plan.
