Dominivs Group gets nod for 82,500ft虏 hotel on Ludgate Hill
Dominvs Group, a private, family-owned property investment group, has been granted planning permission to develop an 82,500ft虏 hotel on Ludgate Hill, near St Paul鈥檚 Cathedral in London.
The Stephan Reinke-designed scheme lies in the St Paul鈥檚 Cathedral conservation area and has been designed to a BREEAM Excellent level. The fa莽ade of Creed Court will be retained and existing buildings on the site will be demolished, followed by the construction of a new part-five and part-seven storey building with three basement levels.
The hotel will offer guest bedrooms across six storeys. Planning consent also includes the retention of an existing retail unit on the ground floor.
Dominvs spokesman Preet Ahluwalia said the London-based company was 鈥渋mmensely grateful for the hard work that has gone into this proposal by the design team, planning consultants and the local council.
鈥淭hat the final scheme has been deemed a valuable addition to the historic St Paul鈥檚 area is a testament to this hard work. The Dominvs group is committed to developing high-quality hotel accommodation, while remaining sensitive to the treasured London locations in which we build.鈥
The hotel will be Dominvs鈥 second development in the capital, with work already underway on the conversion of the former Tower Bridge Magistrates Court into a 200-bedroom hotel.
A further hotel is planned for London on a site which Dominvs acquired last year on Old Marylebone Road, Westminster.
