More than 30 firms on university framework

Southampton university has appointed 35 firms to a £37m consultant framework to support its estates development programme.

Big names on the include Mace, WSP, Arcadis, Aecom, Turner & Townsend and Buro Happold.

Only two firms – Stride Treglown and Ramboll – managed to be appointed to three of the 11 different lots.

The university says consultants will also be involved in maintaining its existing estates, as well as participating on individual construction projects of costs up to £50m – which could include demolition, infrastructure maintenance and new builds.

The framework includes three architectural lots, four engineering lots and other building services lots.
