No sign of any protective equipment whatsoever, and one of them is getting ready to go higher
Richard Stanway-Williams photographed these two devil-may-care repairers in Henley on Thames, saying "I walk past this site most days, and it's fair to say hard hats are not a common sight!" We're equally concerned with the 'foundation' for their scaffolding, which is not only highly dodgy at several points (see the wheels balancing on thin pieces of wood), but protrudes into a turning lane with a pathetic effort at protecting the area - bins?!
What would Boris say?
