Architect Hamilton Associates has taken over from HOK International on a large masterplanning project in the centre of Birmingham.
The firm has picked up the masterplan for a 10-acre chunk of Eastside, close to the city centre.
HOK was originally appointed in February 2002 to submit a planning application for the Curzon Gateway site, adjacent to a site owned by Parcelforce. In support of this application, it also produced a conceptual masterplan for the Parcelforce site as well. Nevertheless, a scheme put forward by Hamilton Associates for the Parcelforce site has been chosen.
Nick Baylis, a vice-president of HOK, said the firm was still working with Eastside Partnership on Curzon Gateway.
