81-home scheme by Assael Architecture in Hammersmith secures planning permission
Housing provider A2Dominion has been granted planning permission for an 81-home riverside development in Hammersmith, London.
The Assael Architecture-designed scheme will provide 18 one-bedroom, 46 two-bedroom and nine-three bedroom apartments for sale, and eight affordable homes.
The scheme, called Queen鈥檚 Wharf, replaces an existing 1970s office block, which will be demolished.
The development will also provide commercial space for a restaurant with river views and a new section of the Thames pathway.
Danny Lynch, A2Dominion Development Director (London), said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e pleased to have been granted permission for the redevelopment of Queens Wharf, which will enable this prominent riverside site to be brought back into use.
鈥淭he scheme, located close to the historic Hammersmith Bridge, has been carefully designed to deliver quality homes which will be built to meet Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.鈥
The development incorporates a curved design, responding to its riverside location, and will rise in height from four storeys on Crisp Road up to seven storeys where it faces the banks of the River Thames.
It was granted planning permission by the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
