West Northamptonshire Development Corporation is now seeking funding for BDP-designed railway station

A plans for a 拢25m station scheme in Northampton have been approved. The castle station would form the 鈥橲tation Gateway鈥� which could see the creation of 70,000m虏 of commercial development according to the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation.

DNCD is working with Network Rail to deliver the station redevelopment and it has submitted a bid for financing to the Regional Growth Fund.

Peter Mawson, WNDC鈥檚 chief executive, said: 鈥� As part of a wider regeneration programme, the new station is critical to the continued growth of a major economy in the centre of England鈥�
