Contractor completes space-saving scheme for SOAS University of London
Graham Construction has completed work on a 拢17.3m job for SOAS University of London, including converting a courtyard into new student space.
The courtyard - now converted into a 1,000m虏 student hub featuring student services, social space and a cafe - links the university鈥檚 Grade II-listed North Block with the iconic Senate House.
It is crowned by an expansive freestanding glass roof, which was lifted into place using a 10-tonne telescopic crane.
In addition, Graham refurbished 7,000m虏 of teaching and office space in the North Block building.
Mace provided project management on site and the scheme was designed by Rock Townsend Architects.
