Company veteran Graham Harle becomes global chief executive
Gleeds has rejigged its senior management with chairman Richard Steer revealing that former head of programme and project management Graham Harle has been named the consultant鈥檚 first global chief executive.
Harle, who has been with Gleeds since 1994, has worked on a number of high-profile schemes including the mixed-use One Nine Elms (pictured) scheme being built by Multiplex.
Steer said the firm was now looking to expand its activity outside the UK and increase its market share in new sectors.
He said: 鈥淭here are two main reasons for change. The first is focussing on growth outside of the UK. Whilst the UK will always be a core driver of our operation, it is a very mature market, and there are significant opportunities for us to further develop our business globally, particularly in the US.
鈥淪econdly, we have a great breadth of sector experience and we are specifically looking at increasing our market share in the energy and infrastructure sectors.鈥
Joining Harle (pictured) on Gleeds鈥 global executive board are regional heads David Johnson, who will lead the company鈥檚 EMEA division and Chris Soffe, who will direct operations in the Americas.
A director of the Asia Pacific region is still to be announced
