Consultant brings in Sir Steve Redgrave to raise more than 拢4500
Gleeds has raised more than 拢4500 for BBC Sport Relief at its sporting heroes reception last week.
The event, which was hosted by consultancy firm Gleeds鈥 ambassador Sir Steve Redgrave, was held at London鈥檚 Cafe Royal. More than 500 Gleeds clients attended and were joined by sporting heroes including Jonathan Edwards, Fatima Whitbread and Duncan Goodhew.
The money was raised in an auction which includes items such as a pair of rowing oars signed by Sir Steve, a Chelsea shirt signed by the first team and a swimming cap signed by the Little Britain actor, David Walliams, who recently swam the English Channel. The funds raised will be used to help young people in the world鈥檚 poorest countries and vulnerable people in the UK.
