NG Architecture, a Beirut-based practice, has designed this mixed-use waterfront development in the city of Khobar, in eastern Saudi Arabia.
It is one of a new generation of projects to be financed by a type of property fund that will enable Saudi and non-Saudi investors to enter the buoyant Gulf property market. Called the Royal Amwaj Project, it has been planned by Saudi real estate company Rikaz Development and Planning. The scheme comprises villas, townhouses, a hotel and other amenities on an extensive waterfront with three tongue-shaped bays, giving each villa its own view over the Arabian Gulf Sea.
