Galliford Try has reported that total house sales rose 7% to 拢274m in the four months to 5 November and it described the autumn selling season as 鈥渟table鈥

It reiterated its plan to undertake a strategic expansion of its housing arm after a 拢126m rights issue last month. It said its construction business 鈥渃ontinued to perform well in a competitive market鈥 by concentrating on the public and regulated sectors. Its order book stood at 拢1.75bn on 5 November.
