Contractor secures 拢13m Newport station revamp and 拢6m deal to upgrade former Silverlink stations around London

Construction and housebuilding group Galliford Try has announced that it has secured two rail contracts worth a total of 拢19m.

Network Rail has awarded it a 拢13m regeneration project at Newport station in south Wales, to be completed by autumn 2010.

It has also won a 拢6m contract to carry out electrical, telecommunications and civil engineering works for London Underground to upgrade 12 former Silverlink stations on the London overground line.
