Work involves building 350 homes at Bristol site
Galliford Try’s partnerships business is set to start work on an £85m scheme to turn a former Bristol hospital into new homes.
Plans for Blackberry Hill Hospital were given the green light last summer with the site having been bought by the Homes and Communities Agency – now called Homes England – back in 2009.
The site, which consists of a number of grade II listed buildings, has now been bought from Homes England by Galliford Try Partnerships.
The firm is working with Homes England, the city council and Sovereign Housing Association to build close to 350 homes – including 100 affordable homes – along with retail and start-up business units, a community building and green spaces.
