Announcement comes the day after winning 拢73m of energy and housing work
Housebuilder and contractor Galliford Try has secured two healthcare contracts worth 拢40m.
This includes a 拢29 million contract to build the 240-unit Hagley Road retirement village in Birmingham for the ExtraCare Charitable Trust.
The scheme includes a village centre with gym, restaurant, library, shops and an indoor bowling green, and care facilities for the elderly.
The project is set to start on site in October 2011, and complete in September 2013.
In addition Galliford Try has closed deals on two 拢5m schemes that mark the latest phase of the South East Essex LIFT programme for the South East Essex Primary Care Trust.
The announcement follows the firm鈥檚 announcement yesterday it had picked up 拢73m of work in two contracts covering petrochemicals and high-end residential.
Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said he was 鈥渄elighted鈥 with the Hagley Road win.
